Dustin A. Reichert, Deputy Sheriff (retired)

Dustin in a retired deputy sheriff from the Anoka County Sheriff's Office in Andover, MN & worked part time for the Ramsey County Sheriff's Officer prior to that. He was a Patrol Deputy & a Detective on the Anoka-Hennepin Violent Crimes & Drug Task Force. He was also a certified Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) & a DRE Instructor, as well as a graduate of the DEA 2 Week Drug School.

After 10 years in law enforcement Dustin was involved in a violent gun battle when arriving on a loud music call on a quiet weekday night. He was struck in the arm & pelvic region. Those injuries would eventually result in him having to medically retire from law enforcement.

After retirement Dustin switched career gears and worked as a professional event MC, team building facilitator, a motivational speaker & trained in voice over work. He also works as an entertainment hypnotists experienced in the world of comedy improv and brings those skills to all facets of what he does.

Since retirement Dustin says he still has the law enforcement bug & the investigative itch and takes his combined experience & skills to bring you these dynamic & tragic stories in the True Crime Brief.
